2017 Fiat Fiorino
The new Fiat Fiorino reasserts the conceptual features that
proclaimed the success of the model: its compact dimensions - 1,721 mm
high, 1,716 mm wide, 3,957 mm long and 2,513 mm wheelbase - make it
perfect for use in cities, agile in traffic and easy to park. Despite
this, it has a remarkable loading capacity of up to 2.8 m3 and can carry
up to 660 kg of payload.
The development of the model, which
invented the small van segment, now introduces a touch of modern design
inside and out with new features that will propel it to the top of its
category in terms of performance, management costs, comfort and
functionality. So, the new Fiorino is not just the ideal vehicle for
those who need a generously-sized loading compartment and need to get
around the city with agility, but it is also the example of how Fiat
Professional is a "full liner" brand, capable of accommodating the most
diverse requirements of any professional.
Style and functionality
The
exterior style preserves the typical modern and dynamic character of
the model with its high headlights for perfect visibility. The front
bumper has been completely refreshed with explicit references to the
design of the Fiat Professional range. Brand-new are also the 15" wheel
hubs and the 15" diamond, burnished light alloy rims.
The new Fiat
Fiorino confirms excellent use of the regular-shaped, squared loading
compartment accessible thorough large 180°-opening rear doors with
ergonomic vertical handles. Optional equipment includes a folding
retractable passenger seat which can be used as a desk or made perfectly
flat to carry objects up to
2.5 metres long.
The passenger compartment has been renewed by introducing new
elements and today is more comfortable and ergonomic than ever. Radio
controls can be fitted on the spokes of the redesigned steering wheel. A
version with leather steering wheel and gear stick knob and boot is
also available. The instruments boast new graphics with permanent
backlighting for better visibility. A new, more functional storage
compartment has been added to the dashboard and the interiors have also
been refreshed. New is also the 5" colour touchscreen infotainment
system with radio, also available with satellite navigation system,
which includes, as customary, Bluetooth, USB port, AUX port and MP3
player.
Engines
The comprehensive line-up
of engines - all Euro 6 - can satisfy all needs. The range features two
turbo diesel 1.3 MultiJet2 engines with 80 and 95 HP, a 1.4-litre
aspirated petrol Fire with 77 HP and the 1.4-litre bi-fuel petrol and
methane Natural Power with 70 HP, a solution that only the new Fiorino
has in the small van segment. Both diesel engines are characterised by
great driving satisfaction, excellent performance and
cost-effectiveness, both in terms of fuel-efficiency and servicing.
The
EcoJet version, which allows to save fuel by implementing the Start
& Stop system, an intelligent alternator and a variable displacement
oil pump, is appearing for the first time on the new Fiorino. Paired
with a Comfort-Matic robotised transmission, it achieves the goal of 3.8
litres of fuel every 100 km on the combined cycle with emissions of 100
grams of CO2 per kilometre, meaning a fuel saving of up to 14% with
respect to the manual version without EcoJet.
Range
Available
in two configurations (Cargo and Combi), three trim levels (Base, SX
and Adventure) and with three engines (petrol, petrol/methane and
diesel), the Fiorino is destined to confirm the excellent commercial
results of the head of the family - over 370,000 units sold - and
further consolidate its market position.
Well worth mentioning is
the Adventure trim level of the new Fiorino, designed for those who
tackle uneven road surfaces, but also to avoid fearing the weather in
winter. Other equipment to choose from includes Traction+, 15" wheels
with specific M+S tyres, raised suspension, oversized side protections
and front bumper with engine skid plate. The main feature of the new
Fiorino Adventure is the Traction+ electronic differential lock system
which assists driving in low-grip conditions.
The new Fiat Fiorino
offers all the safety systems of its predecessor: ABS with EBD, ESC
complete with ASR, HBA, Hill Holder, parking sensors and front and side
airbags.
